The only reason i am writing this is because Taylor Swift has reached the same status level as Creed, Nickelback, etc. Sellout, fake, whatever you want to call it. Whats with all the hate? I can remember when she had first come out and songs like
“Tim Mcgraw” drew fans from every genre. Swift crossed the lines of country and pop and seemed to be an attractive piece of modern music. Then slowly the hate crept up. Song after song, now those same fans who were screaming her songs are making fun of her, ripping her music, her singing talent, and most important her personality. Well GEE GOLLY WIZ, a southern girl who sings upbeat, happy, meaningful songs, that is the worst thing that could strike the music world! If you can’t catch the sarcasm, stop reading.

I have seen this time after time. In many cases it is needed, but lets all be serious, The hate for Taylor Swift is completely psuedo-hate. One persons decides shes too pop for country music, the next says shes too country for pop music. Whatever, music genre’s overlap all the time, maybe its time to hate on the genre.

REASONS TO HATE HER

A: How many of you have sang on national TV? Yes its her job (save the argument), but who wouldn’t be nervous doing that? Many of her flaws are straight up nerves. And to upstage that alone, what a great performance! Do i remember anything from that award show? NO! but i do remember her song.

R: She’s not a country singer. Her songs are pop music.

A: Yea i can see that. I wonder if this famous female country singer caught the same flack. Cause if you think one is different than the other you are deaf, or have selective hearing.

R: Shes Fake.

A: It’s called appreciative! It’s called sincere. Most fans wouldn’t know because most singers after winning awards are thanking management and whoever else. I guess it is wrong to thank family, friends, GOD (whoever that might be).

Enough question and answer talk. The real reason I love, or think America should love Taylor Swift is because she isn’t portraying an image of sex. Yea she’s cute, but is that her strongest suite? I don’t think so. Which brings me to my whole reason for writing on this topic. Two songs, that were out roughly the same time, appealed to an audience that is close to home. Ok, it is home. A 10 yr old little sister. I wanna know what song you would rather have your 10 yr old singing?

Did you watch both? Now whats the answer? I don’t want to be a “rude boy” but if you still pick Rihanna, you are an idiot. Plain and simple. So, instead of knocking the clean cut, blond, pop,country, sincere, classy girl; how bout you take a step back and rethink your judgment.
